“You look so happy.” Or maybe “I’m so happy for you.” Even “You two are so cute together.” All of those have been said since yesterday. I think they are some of the best things you can say to anyone.
It’s true. I’m happy. I turned 29 yesterday and my only wish was for a happy year. I looked around and noticed 3 other people that were not only happy to see me, but were elated to celebrate my birthday with me. I said not to make it a big deal but they all did anyway.
I spent every second of my birthday happy and smiling. I felt so loved all day between the outpour of texts and notifications. People tagging me and tweeting happy birthday to me, my boyfriend’s family going above and beyond for a girl they’ve only seen a handful of times, and my sweet babies calling me to sing to me. To top it off, my boyfriend made me feel like a princess the entire weekend. More happiness than I could ever even hope for.
I’m such a lucky girl. I can’t wait to see what 29 brings. But just this summer alone looks like there will be plenty of happy memories and adventure.
Thank you to all who made my day magical. Especially my handsome boyfriend who constantly makes my face hurt from smiling so much.
